Help! I have not read all the replies but can someone tell me what good a generator will do us if all electrics are fried? Did I miss something. I have one big solar panel, how do I protect it? Help please. If EMP fries everything, what good is a generator?

Thanks for your reply. I have a gas and solar generator, but the more I think about it, what will it run if all is fried? Been prepping for years, thanks. A solar panel, an array of car batteries and some 12v LED lights could make a big difference when everything is dark.
