User ID: 844118 United States 11/03/2013 01:31 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Methane Crisis and Now a Presidential Executive Order on Climate Change Methane gas is belching out of the Laptov Sea in the Arctic in incredibly high amounts (over 1950 ppb) marine life is dying all around us....extreme weather events, birds dropping out of the sky. It's here and it's UPON US (btw 1950 ppb is way above "livable" levels. Connect the dots, now Obama signs an EXECUTIVE ORDER on climate change. "Because no federal legislation to curb climate-warming greenhouse gas emissions is likely to get through Congress due to widespread Republican opposition, the president has been using his executive authority as an alternative to new laws." -this is from (R) can't post link here "Executive Order -- Preparing the United States for the Impacts of Climate Change"- [ link to www.examiner.com] Above image shows IASI methane readings end October 2013 on the Northern Hemisphere. Clearly, high methane levels are very prominent over the Arctic. Over this period, the following peak methane readings have been recorded:- October 28 - 2369 ppb - October 29 - 2303 ppb - October 30 - 2480 ppb - October 31 - 2332 ppb [ link to arctic-news.blogspot.com] Here is an interesting part of the order: " help safeguard our economy, infrastructure, environment, and natural resources; and provide for the continuity of executive department and agency (agency) operations, services, and programs."Last Edited by Ella es Creativa on 11/03/2013 02:27 AM"She is Creative" |

Policy. The impacts of climate change -- including an increase in prolonged periods of excessively high temperatures, more heavy downpours, an increase in wildfires, more severe droughts, permafrost thawing, ocean acidification, and sea-level rise -- are already affecting communities, natural resources, ecosystems, economies, and public health across the Nation. These impacts are often most significant for communities that already face economic or health-related challenges, and for species and habitats that are already facing other pressures. Managing these risks requires deliberate preparation, close cooperation, and coordinated planning by the Federal Government, as well as by stakeholders, to facilitate Federal, State, local, tribal, private-sector, and nonprofit-sector efforts to improve climate preparedness and resilience; help safeguard our economy, infrastructure, environment, and natural resources; and provide for the continuity of executive department and agency (agency) operations, services, and programs."Last Edited by Ella es Creativa on 11/03/2013 02:24 AM"She is Creative" |
