Dad's attempt to teach son a lesson ends tragiclly
When James Comstock refused to buy his 19-year-old son a pack of cigarettes, the teenager took off with his dad’s truck. In an attempt to teach his son a lesson, Comstock called the police and reported his vehicle stolen.

The attempted lesson ended with police fatally shooting the man’s son, Tyler, on the Iowa State University campus.

Still not a lot of details out, but...
The police are saying that the young man rammed the car with the perusing officer inside and revved his engine. And that apparently scared the officer so bad (sarcasm) that he had to fire the gun SIX TIMEs to shoot the driver twice. Killing him.

Imagine how his father feels. I know growing up I got threatened with the exact same thing. Now, I'm not saying that the boy was in no wrong. He shouldn't have flipped out and taken dads truck. But there are other ways to bring in someone or get your point across BEFORE you take that persons life. Aren't the "police" supposed to be here to protect and serve? When is enough enough? How many more people will be beaten or killed in the name of a police state?

911 what's your emergency?

yeah, my son stole my truck because I wouldn't buy him cigarettes because they are bad for him, would you find him and shoot him please.

Two officers are loading their guns now sir.
I never forgive and I never forget

I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked.

The grandfather made the statement that these officers are

"professionals" and should know how to handle these kind of

situations.

That's the problem. They're not.

There are a lot of fucking dipshits wearing badges these

days.

When will people learn to NEVER call the police unless you want to die, a loved one to die, or your dog shot?

I'm pretty sure this isn't the case. If he didn't care or appreciate his son.....wait, am I being trolled?

If he didn't appreciate or care for him, he would have bought him the cancer sticks or not given a shit that he just stole his truck. I'm sure he never, for a second, thought that this would be the outcome. He thought that his son would get arrested, spend a night in jail and learn a lesson.

That must have been one Monster of a Nicotine Fit?

At least folks know how to quit smoking?

Instead of applying a patch...

Just apply one drug crazed, corrupt cop, with a gun.

That kid will never smoke another cigarette?

If you have ever been pulled over by a Iowa State Trooper for going 2 miles an hour over the speed limit; you know why the boy was shot.

Wasn't Jeffery Dommer from Iowa?

The Average Police officer graduated in the bottom 10 percent of their high school class and have no formal college education...

Most have also served as Jar Heads or infantry in the military

Re: Dad's attempt to teach son a lesson ends tragiclly
WTF? So a truck ramming your car isn't a life or death situation?

Sure, just crawl out the back window and stand in front of the douche bag. "Now calm down son no need to try and kill me"

Give me a break.
