I have dyslexia. It is a problem of transferring information between the senses and the brain.
I sometimes read aloud and stumble over words that are unrecognizable; look away and back and it is a simple word. I wrote backwards as a child, not intentionally. Sometimes I am listening to people and suddenly what I hear is different that what they said. Sometimes I am talking and stop because I don't know how to speak simple word, after a few seconds it comes out. If I have to write large numbers down, as in account numbers and so forth I can't write all the number as I hear them, I have to write them out of sequence or the number won't get written correctly. (This is hard to explain). I learn things a little on the slow side, then put everything together and outpace everyone else.
Dyslexia has nothing to do with dyslexia. If anything people with dyslexia are on the higher realm of IQ.
