ARE DYSLEXIC PEOPLE THICK?
Are dyslexic people 'tards?

This is a passage from Professor Elliott report:

"For parents, in particular, a diagnosis that their child is dyslexic can be a relief, says Elliot. He believes the diagnosis serves an emotional, not a scientific, function. "There is huge stigma attached to low intelligence. After years of working with parents I have seen how they don't want their child to be considered lazy, thick or stupid. If they get called this medically recognised term, dyslexic, then it is a signal to all that it's not to do with intelligence."

The number of people being diagnosed with 'dyslexia' has seemed to have grown exponentially. Are children becoming more stupid, as the 'lower classes' tend to breed more, or is it just poor teaching?
You never see a church with free wifi. I guess because no church wants to compete with an invisible power that actually works.

Re: ARE DYSLEXIC PEOPLE THICK?
I have dyslexia. It is a problem of transferring information between the senses and the brain.

I sometimes read aloud and stumble over words that are unrecognizable; look away and back and it is a simple word.
I wrote backwards as a child, not intentionally.
Sometimes I am listening to people and suddenly what I hear is different that what they said.
Sometimes I am talking and stop because I don't know how to speak simple word, after a few seconds it comes out.
If I have to write large numbers down, as in account numbers and so forth I can't write all the number as I hear them, I have to write them out of sequence or the number won't get written correctly. (This is hard to explain).
I learn things a little on the slow side, then put everything together and outpace everyone else.

Dyslexia has nothing to do with dyslexia. If anything people with dyslexia are on the higher realm of IQ.

Dyslexia is an excuse for stupid folks.
As the report says, everyone is looking for an excuse. There us no shame in being stupid, just don't expect me to believe you are as intelligent as normal folks.
There are plenty of jobs for dyslexic people, we need production-line workers and McDonalds workers.

No. I taught dyslexic kids. They are not "thick."
Actually. They are very intelligent. They just learn things easier with different teaching methods than the rest of you sheeple.

Not tards per se. But definitely on the slow/dumb side. Recognizing shapes, which is all letters really are, is basic cognition.

Re: ARE DYSLEXIC PEOPLE THICK?
This is really silly. Dyslexica is condition that only effects the way your brain processes information for reading, it doesn't effect your intelligence.

Re: ARE DYSLEXIC PEOPLE THICK?
I can't tell if you people are trolling or just stupid, which would be ironic considering your claims.

Reading is not just a matter of recognizing basic shapes. People who are Dyslexic can tell what a square, or circle, or Triangle are. If you write a G in front of them they can tell it is the letter G. The problem generally comes from attempting to form words and sentences together, which people don't really think of as collections of letters.

I am dyslexic yet my IQ has been rated at between 140 and 155! Dyslexia has nothing to do with intelligence and in fact, dyslexic people probably think outside the square far more than non dyslexic people...............and THAT shows intelligence! hf
