inherited both loans totaling $60M when he
decided within days of the wars end to print
worthless paper to pay off that $60M to the Vatican.

the Pope had spies within the Union Army and informed
the Pope of Lincoln's intentions to print
worthless paper to pay off the loans to the
Vatican, the Pope was furious and would only
accept gold which is the form the loans took
when given to both the Union and Confederacy.

the Pope issued an assassination order against Lincoln
to prevent him from printing paper to pay off
