Halo around the Moon means big storm coming

Tonight my daughter and I noticed a halo around the moon. We live in Washington State but this could also mean a big storm approaching east of here.

Cirrus clouds mean upcoming storm, they are the clouds that create a "halo" looking ring around the moon.
