I teach college freshman at a major University, and I can say with experience that common core/No child left behind is not just destroying education, but destroying how kids/adults think for themselves. Nearly every student "studies" to pass a test; however, I design my test questions in a way they cannot study for with simple memorization. Every year seems to be getting worse and worse as far as student preparedness for college.
