Thank you for this list. I have a lot of things on it, but some I don't and will be adding to it. I have already stopped buying a lot of our fruits and veggies from the West Coast of the US and Canada. I always try to buy local, or at least Canadian, then US, then North American. It isn't going to leave us any options now.

No problem, I worked on #10 all day...

Makes this whole situation more tolerable, and fights rad damage to boot

RadChick.....all this serves to do is diminish what you are saying as legit or not.
People instantly think.....ahh she's a STONER.

...and then ignore

Just sayin.

Dude, I have some MAJOR health problems, and NO INSURANCE. After working 25 years in clinical research, I am well aware of what cannabis can and can't do.

Every man, woman, and child should be able to work this into their diet since Fukushima, and I have several physicians who will back me up on this.

If you want to see an example of what it does for children, read this:

Anti-cannabis rhetoric is just propanganda, and has absolutely NO BASIS in science or research.

We are getting one earthquake after another here in Japan right now. I am sorry if this post is not acceptable for y`all but I am just a little disturbed by this. I do not express my emotions so often and so openly but this is reminding me of the two weeks following the 9.0 plus we got over here which started the nuclear hell we are now facing. Maybe I am reaching out for a little emotional support or something. It is bringing me to tears seriously. Things are always so intense here in Japan and Japanese people are so disciplined about this kind of stuff but I am not Japanese. When I get overly emotional, you know something is wrong.

if till today nothing happened even after 2 yrs, I trust them. They have studied every possible scenarios and I am 100% sure nothing will happen. Pls dont get distracted and waste your life thinking about what will not happen.

Japan and TEPCO will always think about humans before they do anything atleast for the sake of their near and dear ones.

Re: ANTI-DOOM LIST: 10 things to do before TEPCO starts tinkering with reactor #4
But what I do know is: I was outside the first 3 weeks after the accident because we were moving and selling everything off Craigslist in our yard, I know I was heavily exposed because of the metallic taste and I started havings symptoms 4.13.2011. Bad ones. I wonder if I had been inside then, if I would have all these problems now? Tests showed I had been exposed to Zirconium, which is what the rods are encased in. And I'm a few thousand miles from Japan. Michigan :/

I really can't imagine what is going to happen to people in Tokyo.

I'm watching these guys.

I recall someone saying that TEPCO was planning on using drunks to move the rods, due to their low worth to Japanese society and ability to deal with radiation better (I dunno...long term alcohol in the system helps with radiation? ).

Can you imagine dozens of guys with the shakes trying to remove those damaged rods?

Anyhow...can anyone confirm this, or was it something I invented to spice up the doom?

I've never made anything about me or my life a secret, and I certainly won't on an issue that directly ties into mitigation for radiation exposure and cancer.

Anyone who has spent anytime following Fukushima can clearly see the government is lying, about LOTS of things. Cannabis was outlawed because it would put the pharmaceutical industry out of business. Same with hemp, read up on the Hearst (publishing) family. There is plenty of research to back up the health aspects, including 20,000 studies in Europe where it's more accepted...and tested.

If people choose to listen or not, doesn't matter to me. Perhaps when they go through chemo they will feel differently? Since cannabis helps deal with your body being wrecked and poisoned, once you let the BIG PHARMA and the cancer industry get a grip on you.

I think the sad truth here is that there is no effective way to eliminate radiation exposure in the body once it has already infiltrated your system. There are ways to mitigate uptake if you know you will be exposed such as iodine use to intervene on behalf of the thyroid gland, but other than that there is no known method to adequately chelate internal radionuclides.

Prevention of further exposure is the best one can attempt in regard to Fukushima and further releases.

That's true and very sad, I agree. As a mother of 4 daughters and former clinical research worker I have seen thousands of kid with brain and eye cancers over the years. There is NO quality of life once you get sick.

My greatest inspiration comes from many people I have spoke to that lived around Chernobyl, and got out. Many went on to develop cancer (mostly thyroid) but if they got it early, they went on to have somewhat normal lives.

The invisible elephant in this accident is the MOX fuel, and the QUANTITY released (which is still unkown). We have never had a MOX accident. So there is really no telling how bad this can get as it stands now, let alone if it gets any worse.

No matter what you do, the contamination in the food chain, especially with Americium and Plutonium now showing up from tests in 2011 (Alaska) is that eventually this will get you, one way or another.

We are essentially just finding and sharing ways to buy ourselves more time, and have a better quality of life -considering your life may be alot shorter than what you thought it would be.

Any exposure you get now will add to your body burden of what we got 2 1/2 yrs ago. IMO another event, even if similar to 311, will have a much greater sickness and mortality expression due to our weakened state. Possibly magnitudes higher of what we saw in the first 14 weeks, last time around.

Practicing moving the cask, which weighs 50,000 pds.
According to fukuleaks they are putting the cask in the reactor well - because they are worried about the extra weight in the pool, but a reactor well isn't designed for that either.

Re: ANTI-DOOM LIST: 10 things to do before TEPCO starts tinkering with reactor #4
The operators of the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant have postponed the extremely complicated and difficult task of removing damaged atomic rods.

New video footage from a robot has revealed new leaks within the damaged reactors meaning the rods now can’t be taken out as planned.

One of the fuel assemblies was damaged as far back as 1982 when it was mishandled during a transfer and is bent out of shape.

Kazuaki Matsui, the executive director of Japan’s Institute of Applied Energy said: “It’s very difficult to remove a spent rod because parts of the wall and the bottom of the reactor are all melted. We’ve never had to deal with this before so that adds to the complication.”
