What course, Astronomy, Biology, or Physics.
Ive always liked science but I dont have the time right now to focus on a specific science course of interest. In other words I need to take the easiest course, I am stacking up on my computer programming classes and need my full attention on them.

I know everyone might have a different opinion, but of the folowing what course might be easier.

As much as I would love to learn chemistry I am taking it out of the list becuase I do believe it is one of the more difficult courses.

Astronomy
Biology
Physics

Ive always been interested in astronomy.

When I think of physics for some reason I think of the unknown and believe I would find this course interesting. If Ihad the time to focus on a certain science course I think I would lean towards physics.

Biology seems plain boring to me, but if its an easy grade why not.

What are your opinions on the easiest course.

I wish you all the luck with your classes. I just finished up my BSIT. One way that helped me to decide on classes was to look up the professor's rating on this web site:

Read the reviews from former students -- 50/50 chance your instructors will have been reviewed. They are rated in different categories(Easiness is one). It's worth a look.

One more thought, if you are going for a Computer Science degree -- not Info. Technology -- I think most universities will require physics.

Physics will be a pita if you already have a full course load. Takes a good amount of time, on par with a calculus class (for comparison).

Depending on the professor Astronomy might be the way to go as you are not interested in biology. Biology is actually the easiest of all the courses, especially if you take something like environmental biology.

Re: What course, Astronomy, Biology, or Physics.
I would say astronomy is the easiest, then biology, then physics is definitely the hardest. Physics requires a lot more work than the other two generally. If you take it do problem after problem after problem. And make sure to do them yourself for homework. You'll learn nothing if you just look for similar problems on yahoo answers or whatever. Biology is more reading then problems, as is astronomy.

Re: What course, Astronomy, Biology, or Physics.
Thanks for the replys, right now I am stacking up on computer programming but going to make the switch to cis, my programming courses will fulfill some of the required technical specialty courses i would need for the cis... I am doing this for my own future goes I have in mind, not becuase its required.

I need to get science out of the ways and its looking like astronomy is the way to go. Being the easiest.

I was going to go with biology I never thought of taking any other course, untill I saw this girl in a class of mine that was doing work for another class and she was looking at a big picture of ison, I knew becuase it was title ISON in big letters.

She said they were studying Ison in Astronomy class.

Found that interesting and started looking at my science options.

Doesn't matter. You won't learn anything important in any intro courses anyway.

Quantum physics won't make much sense until there's a solid basic foundation in mechanics and also maybe electromagnetic theory. Way too advanced for this guy.

Basic mechanics, taught right, is a HARD course. Way too mind-altering for what this guy has time for. And if it's not taught that way it's worthless.

Astro or bio, one of those might be what you're looking for.

To be clear: if you had time and really wanted to learn something, physics (basic mechanics, the version with calculus) would be by far the best course. But you said you don't have nearly the time for it.

It is all full of lies and guesses whichever course you take.

Which ever one you take start asking about how do magnets work?

How does electricity work and no it is not protons or electrons flowing through a conductor?

Re: What course, Astronomy, Biology, or Physics.
I think you have all the input needed! We're all in agreement -- for once on GLP! afro

If you want the easiest, to satisfy your immediate needs with a heavy load, take either Bio or Astr. Compare the teachers on that web site, and choose the easiest and/or most interesting.

But, if you are thinking about the long-term best choice -- depending on your long-term goals -- you might want to seriously consider physics. But, you can always take it later if needed, too, because it will be a challenging class.

Let us know what you decide, and how it goes. Good luck.
