NUCLEAR ALERT @ PADUCAH - TORNADO DAMAGE & RAD RELEASE
DISINFO @ PADUCAH - TORNADO DAMAGE & RAD RELEASE

AND...THEY ARE ALREADY LYING ABOUT IT.
******************************************
The sources commenting on the tornado damage at the Paducah processing facility are releasing conflicting statements about the release of dangerous radiation.

Article starts out: Company work crews and state and federal officials on Monday continued to inspect storm damage to the shut-down Paducah nuclear fuel factory that was struck by an apparent tornado Sunday, officials said.

One of the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant’s four enrichment production buildings was damaged, as well as adjacent cooling towers and a nearby electrical switch yard, said Jeremy Derryberry, a spokeswoman for plant operator, USEC Inc.

He said there was no release of hazardous or radioactive materials, and that the plant’s safety and monitoring systems were in full operation. The damage was to the exterior of the building only, he said.

And then buried in a paragraph and paraphrased in a way that makes no sense whatsoever: The U.S. Department of Energy owns the facility, leasing the plant to USEC. Robert E. Edwards III, deputy manager of the energy department’s Portsmouth Paducah Project Office, said the USEC “did what they needed to do.” Edwards also confirmed releases to the air, water or surrounding grounds and described the damage as minor. wtf

It goes on to say: “We are tracking it and we are in touch with (USEC),” said Buddy Rogers, spokesman for Kentucky Division of Emergency Management. “The warning bells go off when you hear about something like this, but … it was no big deal.”

IT IS A BIG DEAL. As this facility is government owned expect whatever happened there to be lied about and covered up, per usual. Nice try burying it way down in the article. People in this area should contact FEMA and ask for further DETAILED assessment and instructions. HOW is this BEING "TRACKED"???

Re: NUCLEAR ALERT @ PADUCAH - TORNADO DAMAGE & RAD RELEASE
How can plutonium affect people's health?

External exposure to plutonium poses very little health risk, since plutonium isotopes emit alpha radiation, and almost no beta or gamma radiation. In contrast, internal exposure to plutonium is an extremely serious health hazard. It generally stays in the body for decades, exposing organs and tissues to radiation, and increasing the risk of cancer. Plutonium is also a toxic metal, and may cause damage to the kidneys.

Is there a medical test to determine exposure to plutonium?

There are tests that can reliably measure the amount of plutonium in a urine sample, even at very low levels. Using these measurements, scientists can estimate the total amount of plutonium present in the body. Other tests can measure plutonium in soft tissues (such as body organs) and in feces, bones, and milk. However, these tests are not routinely available in a doctor's office because they require special laboratory equipment.

Protecting People from Plutonium
What can I do to protect myself and my family from plutonium?

Since plutonium levels in the environment are very low, they pose little risk to most people. However, people who live near government weapons production or testing sites may have higher exposure.

Plutonium particles in dust are the greatest concern, because they pose the greatest health risk. People living near government weapons facilities can track radiation monitoring data made available by site personnel. If radiation levels rise, they should follow the radiation protection instructions given by site personnel.

Unfortunately I do not have one. I can say however that people around this area including myself have what I can only describe as "metal mouth".

It happens from time to time. I can't stress enough how badly in shape this plant is (even before the storms yesterday).

It's happened a few times before right after they "shut it down". This is the first time it's happened since then.

NOT GOOD. Can you leave town and stay somewhere else for a few days or longer? This could be very serious. I am alerting as many people as I can right now but my damn internet keeps going out. Trying to see if we have any readings/"Officially" or otherwise. Pu is hard to detect without really expensive geigers... Most likely though if you are tasting metal you already have exposure. It's important you don't get any more.
