What do you suggest is the easy way for someone like me to get involved. What are the steps, and what are the risks.

it seems very high right now, and swings a lot. Also if you need yo change it to cash how do you do that. How do you pay for things with it.

The value is created in the head, just as it is with a federal reserve note, or gold.
It's not like we have this giant need for gold in our daily lives, yet we value it so much.
It's all in the head.

Being backed up by something is not the key issue.

The key issue is that the currency in use, should not be counterfeit-able.
BTC, gold or honey, all serve the same purpose, when used as a exchange medium.

They are cryptanalysis algorithms. These are being used to generate hashes that grow exponentially with each new hash that is generated.

There will be no privacy in encrypted transmissions anymore once the last of these "crypto currencies" are released.

Think critically. No one "knows" where stuxnet came from. It messed up air gapped systems at a nuclear facility. Causing damage and potential for grave danger to life.

I see people dying without passing their keys on. So yes people will take bitcoins to their graves. Those "Graves" will be robbed in the future. The original Satoshi Grave will be the first one robbed and all hell will break loose when it is.

There was no single bad intention in regards of cryptocurrency except an honest way to trade.

How can You trade honestly goods and services if:
1. Governments
2. Bankers.
3. Mafia

I saw, gold is good so far, but difficult to trade.
If gold has not a number, You can steal it and trade it.

With bitcoins You need to sign them before you trade
with Your private key. There is a higher level of security.

This concept is not sustainable in a world of scientific and technological progress.

Look to Fukushima, right now, the world should cooperate as a team to stop that ongoing nuclear polution !

The governments do have the responsability to level poor and rich and to maintain idealism for the sake of their people. And they need to be free of the slavery of the fiat currency.

Look to the western countries how they are subject to the financial markets ! They do bow and lick the asses of the bankers to pay their debt.

And they join the cryptocurrency network. To free themself from the slavery of the bankers.
