Avian Flu (H6N1) will take your mind off feelings of depression.

It's been a bit under the news radar in this part of the world but not in the far east. Here are the current news stories about it - [link to doomcafe.com]

It has been expected by many that a pandemic would occur to shift our attention elsewhere when needed. Avian Flu mutating has been on the 'back burner' for years.

I hardly ever get depressed however I am right now.
I am sure it has something to do with turning 50 tomorrow.

Nop, getting a bit mad and madder as the days go by. I really don't want to get angry, things start happening, that I can't stop, I just think it and it happens, It will be their own fault. It is like writing a book and it comes to life, it could be wonderful or not!

It would be better for them to cool it, cause there are others like me when we get mad, think take on a mind of its own. Kind of like they are doing themselves, but ours is something God sent. Really, there are millions like us.

Sweet dream, nightmare are bad!

See I have been wanting to start meditating for ages but I always end up wasting my time doing something frivolous like going to the pub or watching TV.

I really need to incorporate it into my daily routine, what would be the best way?

I keep yo-yoing like mad from elation to what I hope is rock bottom because it couldnt have been any worse a month ago.

Fifty is Fabulous!! Never Better!
Hope you feel more positive tomorrow and have a wonderful birthday.
For folks who get seriously depressed in the wintertime,
there are special sunlamps to help combat the SAD
(seasonal affective disorder?) anyway, I get the blues too...
so don't give up!

Re: Anyone else getting heavier feelings of depression/anxiety as late?
I dont think its so much anxiety or depression for me as it is the hopeless feeling of nothing better to look forward to.I have always had goals and important reasons to push on and now everything seems so pointless and its become a daily routine to just go through the motions. Also I have this feeling that time has sped up and will run out soon, whatever that actually means. Its almost like we have improved our selves out of existence. No one seems to really be needed for anything now.A big majority of us could evaporate off the earth and never be missed.

I agree with you, I feel that the main reason I am here is to fill someone else's pockets and be metaphoricaly chain ganged.

Meh, never happened to me like this before. Plus the winter is only just creeping in, we have had a very mild tail end to the summer in the south of UK.

Not for me.I love rain and dark nights and cloudy days. This is usually my happiest time of the year.I have never liked being in the sunshine, beaches, etc.
Mountains, drizzle, snow, staying warm inside the house is my best days.As I said its not really depression for me,its the stagnant feel that has become normal and not much is looking to improve.

Just remember...50 is just a number. You will feel and look the same tomorrow as you do any other day. Think of it as maturing, not getting old. :)

Been through that shit, gets hard. Move around, go outside, get off the computer for a bit, eat something with nature in it, take a shower, the world will spin on in the meantime, go see doctor if really deep. Good luck, but know it is possible to come back, and all these symptoms are most likely temporary.

Doing a daily walk, a least a hour, in nature will help you putting things in perspective. Listen to the birds, sit down and don't think, just be!

Re: Anyone else getting heavier feelings of depression/anxiety as late?
Yes, I have been more depressed lately. I guess with what is happening with this world, it is no wonder. My mother just died a month ago, so that has a lot to do with my depression, but I was feeling a bit this way before she died. There isn't anything that excites me any more. I love to travel, but even the thought of that is very ho hum for me. It probably doesn't help when I come on to GLP and read all that is going on. I can't help myself though, I am addicted.

tv will mess you up i would stop watching that ASAP

this is like a conscious lifestyle so you should do the whole thing the right way if you are serious about ascending, activating your light body ship and connecting back to nature

eat a vegan diet

no tv, no meats, no dairy, no gmos, no soy, and little wheat as possible

eat 80% raw vegan everyday

sungaze, and meditate: inhale slowly 6 seconds, hold for 6 seconds, and release slowly for 6 seconds...wait 4, seconds....and inhale again

do this everyday and you'll definitley be on your way...you're going to be detoxing and be tired if you haven't been eating healthy in the past

good luck

I am definitely going to try meditation and the just being tip. I live out in the sticks and we have a big hill I usually go to late in the night, the stars are beautiful up there.

It's the time of year that makes people melancholy. Colder weather, less sunshine, Daylight Savings time, upcoming Holidays that cause stress.

Taking 5-HTP, Vitamin D3 (5000 IU's) will help fend off the blues.
