It's a condition known as gender diaspora. A man can feel like a Woman inside, and a woman can feel like a man inside. This is different to sexual orientations disorders, which involve anything that is not heterosexual.

Maybe not so long ago if a kid refused to take up sports for boys, was afraid of getting beaten up by peers, he was just forced to suck it up by his parents and if he wanted to wear dresses he would be ridiculed by the family and maybe most would snap out of it and toughen up.

The more likely culprit would be along the lines of the combined efforts of governmental and Disney parenting.

Another danger here is that if one boy acts like a girl, and hangs around other boys, it can spread, and then that boy can manipulate the other boy to want to be a girl too, and it will disturb his development. But with Gender diaspora that's a more serious condition.
