Almost 200 thousand bitcoins, 150 million dollars worth. Who in the hell has 150 million dollars cash just sitting around to put into bitcoin. That kind of cash liquidity is rare even for billionaires. I wonder if its a central bank. |

They cant stop it buy they can fuck with it enough that nobody will have confidence in this bogus scheme. Who in their right mind would buy bitcoins when they have no basis in value (like gold) and can vaporize in a fraction of a second? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 39955289 United States 11/22/2013 05:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Bitcoins have no real value. Ten minutes from now they could be worth a penny or ten thousand dollars. The sky is the limit. The price depends on whatever value people place on them. This guy wants to make some money, and if I had that kind of cash I would pull it put as soon as the price doubles. |
BankRunner User ID: 16481439 United States 11/22/2013 06:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I compare the Bitcoin vs the Federal Reserve Note, Not Gold or Silver. Bitcoin is a Currency not Money, That's why you should have BOTH. Compared to the dollar, bitcoin is not issued as debt, doesn't have to be paid back with interest, can be sent between CONSENTING parties without a bank intermediary, and MOST important it is LIMITED. In a world of 7 billion people and 70 trillion in debt-based global money supply, if equally distributed each person would get 0.001714285 bitcoin. if 70 trillion were all to flood into bitcoin it goes to $5.83 million per bitcoin. Like gold the west is selling and the east along with Germany are buying. If the people producing the things you buy are flocking to a new Currency while abandoning your paper, you better be paying attention. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 50280931 They only exist via electricity on an unregulated media, (internet). Too risky. so does your bank account. Until you draw it out of the ATM machine, (if you can have it all) and even then its still worthless bit of paper that only represents real value. SO then you got to find a gold merchant. |

I am willing to bet darling, that no one will be able to control 51% of the network simply because Satoshi and the people around him already produced by honest bitcoin means and are owning more than 50% of the whole 21 million bitcoins why every day we see on blockchain a max of 2 million bitcoins being bought and sold? I mean common on,the world could do much better than that there are 12 milion coins in total :))) and if Satoshi decides to crash the currencies all over the world,he simply has to sell all his bitcoins from his account dollar, euro will go down the toilet together with the bitcoin |

They cant stop it buy they can fuck with it enough that nobody will have confidence in this bogus scheme. Who in their right mind would buy bitcoins when they have no basis in value (like gold) and can vaporize in a fraction of a second? BASIC STUFF: Gold does not have intrinsic economic value. No resource in history does. There is imputed/historic economic value, and Bitcoins are no exception. People will get confused by traditional economic 'thinking' which is where the cryptocurrency systems come in. Free market pricing in a free society is generated by the final users of any asset power. . |

Thats why attention to the electricity supply and creation of a regulated (Internet-2) 'medium' has been under examination... You would hope your electricity wont be going off whatever currency format/system you elect to use. Unless you are self sustaining/sufficient. . |
