This could be a new business opportunity - disabling the monitoring capabilities of smart (they're not, not even close) TVs.

for those who are unaware (if no one else has said it) you can deactivate the built in cameras completely if you dont use it. You can reactivate it with the same free program.

I will never purchase or use a cellphone (aka: tracking device, electronic leash or make me a self-centered idiot device)
I disabled the OnStar system in my car day one.
I would not put a camera on my PC.
I only connect to the network when needed.
I disable the mic. unless I'm using it.
