I work in healthcare. The big push right now is getting as many people as possible to sign DNR's (do not resuscitate) forms, and other forms that limit treatment. I know this from personal experience. We are being in-serviced on it next week. The reason for this is hospitals know that most Medicare $$ are spent in the 6 months before death. The plan is to cut that 6 months short to save money. There are the standard DNR forms plus another, newer one that's making the rounds.

I often wonder; If we could go back to 1938 or 1941 and tell the Germans and the rest of the world of the atrocities that were soon to befall them at the hands of a rising dictator, or the massive level of devastation and destruction that would soon be visited on Nagasaki and Hiroshima - just how we would be received since no one at the time could fathom the depth or breadth of the evils camped on their porches.

Yet, we look back through the pages of history and ask "How did they not recognize what was happening?". Just how did these people manage to sit idly by and watch the very fabric of their nations be shredded, and this with the assistance of many who said they "loved their country"?

At what point did it no longer seem a bit odd to be required to report your neighbor's activities to the authorities? On what day did it become more attractive to keep your head down and eyes forward while your communities dwindled in number? Just how much justification was given on the day that the decision was made that your money is better used for the fireplace?

What we most often discuss are the questions of "why" and "how". Specifically; "Why did these people allow their nation/ nations to be so radically changed, resulting in their own demise?", and "how did this person/ persons rise to such a dictatorial position in such a short amount of time, and even garner the support from a good portion of the populous?'.

We have had the luxury to have this history at our disposal, yet we have failed in the the greatest responsibility that accompanies history - to learn from it.

If this world were to be around another 80 years, just what questions would those people pose to ours?

These 'death panels' are real. And plenty doctors that will go right along with all of it.. there's now these special hospitals designed for patients 65 an older.

The Dems and the MSM have done a good job of misdirecting Hitler similarities toward conservatives.
