Every website I go to seems to be out or it is a ridiculous price. At the point where I just need to start reloading.. Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me. Or something |

I grabbed 15 12 guage slugs for $15... 22 used to be almost as cheap as shooting a bb gun. Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. RelentlessDespot (OP) Abrasive Fuck User ID: 49394782 United States 11/27/2013 04:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Have Friend in Centeral US he said 22lr and 9mm hard to find, it will be even more expensive since Fed EPA regulations just caused the US Largest Lead Smelter to shut down. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 44455755 Yeah saw that news.. But what I don't get is why can I still find .40 and .45 ammo like it's nothing. I want to say what is it with 22 ammo, but at the same time I know how incredibly useful it is in comparison. I'm guessing supply vs demand.. To me it's just odd that it has gone on this long, considering other calibers are back in stock. Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Not 22. Which to me is odd. You'd think the bigger rounds would be the last to re-emerge.. not 22 .. I know .223 was limited for a while.. But shit I can find that like it's growing on trees now. Also quite limited. Edit to add: Seems funny I just said "down here" to a guy in India.. Should be up here. lol Last Edited by DARTH SILIOUS on 11/27/2013 05:05 AM Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Anonymous Coward User ID: 50532730 United Kingdom 11/27/2013 06:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That might be a viable cost effective route for small game hunting. You can get high powered pellet rifles hitting above 25ft/lb going to even as much as 45ft/lb totally enough for rabbits and small game post 50 yards. 45ft/lb might even do you up to 100 yards with 20-30 grain pellets. 50 dollars would probably get you a few thousand pellets. Viable option maybe. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 50650087 United States 11/27/2013 06:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | well online if you look around its there, better than it was 6-9 months ago, when 500 bricks were literally going for a couple hundred bucks lol...not even joking, many people were skimmin. Locally, say sporting goods stores, walmarts, BASS pro, dicks, and most of the local gun shops I do try to check out weekly haven't had any that I know, if it comes in..i'm not there sadly .22lr isn't re loadable really. I have a few thousand rounds, I bought actually in mid 2012...and after the whole obama thing, and the sandy hook shooting which REALLY got the guns moving even more...I haven't show a damn round of 22 in a year, saving it and stockpiling when i see a deal online that is fair. as far as other handgun cals, your main old go to places for fair prices like walmart, 9mm is still not always there, no .44magnum, .357 still rare as is .38 spl sometimes....40 and .45 seem pretty common at the local super walmarts, and 9mm when they get it, and it goes fast a few years ago walmart was always WELL stocked in all the common pistol rounds and rifle rounds...things ain't the same anymore. I don't shoot enough to reload. But luckily my local gun shop, a new one i have been going to gets great deals on bulk ammo. Sure its about a 20 minute longer driver than old wally world used to be, but i'm supporting a local business this is in Reno NV btw |

I'm fairly well stocked on most everything else it's just the 22.. FFS.. It's my favorite gun really. 2LR is a true sniper with a silencer and so useful with a steady hand. Anonymous Coward User ID: 50187529 United States 11/27/2013 07:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah, I cant't find any or 9mm for that matter. Lead will no longer be made in the United States. The last Lead Refinery closed last month. Tha tis why you won't be able to find ammo and it will be ridiculously priced. Hang on to whatever you have on hand and don't go to the range unless you can spare it. My BF's father owns a Fishing lure company that makes Lead sinkers and He may have to go out of business because there is a lead shortage and will be for some time. |

It basically aggregates ammo prices from all over the place. Cabellas had the cheapest 22lr the other day when I was looking (.09/rd) which is still steep for 22lr imho, but they would only allow 100 per customer/per day. Wound up getting 1000rds for about 160 (shipping and all.) |

Don't remember the brand (maybe Federal). A 500 round brick for $25. It's a shame that we have to stand in line for something that I used to buy for less than $10 when I was a kid, but we do what we have to. |

You have to be early at Walmart, or else it's gone. www.gunbot.net is your best source. Buy Gold Buy Silver Buy Ammo have Faith. I finally found some but holy hell it's a pain in the ass. I generally like to buy my ammo local and haven't really had an issue... Except for 22 rounds.
