How do you know they're covering something up? Do you have evidence for this? Because there are multiple holes in this Lisbon story.

And there is not multiple holes in the NASA story? a leak is a leak and they consist of many holes. Take Edward Snowden for instance...holes everywhere, Leaks Everywhere.

Yet no one can link any of the leaks, only some videos and posts saying that something was leaked. I've Googled this, the first mention claims it was posted all over forums, yet those forum posts don't show up anywhere. It smells of a hoax.

If you go to scienceforums.net you can see that that the video was posted actually back in June, so it was before September, my original thought. So this was documented well before it passed the sun. You obviously did not look very hard

Although the comet McNaught was present in the inner heliosphere, it is not likely that particles from the comet tail reached the Venus orbit and contributed to the observed changes in the venusian atmosphere. But we don't rule out the possibility that particles from the comet reached Venus. These observations show how the solar variability can drive changes on the cloud coverage on Venusian atmosphere driven by the space weather conditions in the inner heliosphere. With the expected increase of the solar activity throughout the ascending phase of solar cycle, Venus Express and STEREO missions can investigate furthermore the physical coupling between the Sun-Venus system. These future observations can evaluate the importance of heliospheric structures in the observed space weather. Events reported here provide insight knowledge of atmospheric response to space weather, with pivotal importance for our planet.

Does anyone know if there are any predictive computer models available to show which part of earth will receive the brunt of ISON's debris field/be closest to the event? (That is assuming we're only dealing with "comet" debris, and not some of the Electrical, plague, or alien phenomena supposed by some?) It would be interesting to see which third/half of earth (in terms of latitudinal/longitudinal positioning) will be most affected. At least then, people in that area will have a better idea of how to take cover when the debris does impact? There are plenty of old nuke fallout shelters here in the US, and I suggest to anyone reading this to familiarize themselves with the closest locations.

Nah guys, I was talking about an actual "model" showing the known or approximated space-time location/positioning of ISON and her "fragments" alongside where we know the leading "edge" or exposed lat/long of earth's surface will be relative to one another. Ie: if 90+% of the debris will hit Asia, or Europe, the doom will be relatively quelled for the Americas. Does that help?

I thought of this knowing they can extrapolate positionings, and given the doom-iness of this event it would be cool to figure out where at the most probable damage would occur!

assuming they are on collision course, and they are big enough to reach the surface before disintegrating, the biggest danger would be tsunamis, because 70% of the planet surface is water
