Clips haven't been around since the last weapon to use stripper clips to load the weapon have been around and they aren't very popular or common. The last weapon I can remember to use them and is still popular is the M1 Garrand.

High capacity magazine are not all they're after they're after ANY rifle or shotgun that CAN hold more than five rounds/cartridges whether they are fed by a magazine or not!
