The national desire to save face will lead them into a military dictatorship with their thin veneer or democracy stripped away so easily.

Remember Peal Harbor. We got a look at their National Character then. Pity it is a lesson most of cannot remember.

Gee, this sounds just like what the U.S. Government is doing. Only diff, is no one has the balls to stand up and scream at them here.

to be expected, Japanese government is modeled after the western, even the Chinese GOV is like this. every GOV is the same. what makes them different are the local citizens and their culture. when you compare governments from different countries side by side, their are no difference in appears or the way they behave

The Guardian, Dec. 5, 20013: Whistleblowers and journalists in Japan could soon find themselves facing long spells in prison for divulging and reporting state secrets, possibly including sensitive information about the Fukushima nuclear disaster [...] “It is a threat to democracy,” said Keiichi Kiriyama, an editorial writer for the Tokyo Shimbun newspaper [...] “it can be used to hide whatever the government wishes to keep away from public scrutiny,” said Mizuho Fukushima, an opposition MP. [...] justice minister, Sadakazu Tanigaki, refused to rule out police raids of newspapers suspected of breaking the law.

The Japan Times, Dec. 5, 2013: Secrets bill clears panel by force [...] The Liberal Democratic Party-New Komeito ruling coalition was set to forcibly pass the contentious state secrecy bill into law as early as Thursday night, after it rammed the legislation through the Upper House Special Committee on National Security earlier on the day. The chairman of the committee abruptly motioned for a vote on the bill, and ruling bloc lawmakers voted, while opposition lawmakers tried to block it by surrounding and shouting at him. “The committee chairman did not even mention that they will vote on it when we had a meeting before the session,” said Tetsuro Fukuyama, an Upper House member of the committee from the Democratic Party of Japan. “They again leveraged on the power of numbers. I am beyond angry.”

Wow.

However, I believe that is exactly what goes on here as well.

There is a lot I could tell you about this. For example, [CENSORED BY THE GOVERNMENT] and [CENSORED BY THE GOVERNMENT], not to mention [CENSORED BY THE GOVERNMENT], [CENSORED BY THE GOVERNMENT] including the [CENSORED BY THE GOVERNMENT] and the [CENSORED BY THE GOVERNMENT]. Also, last week [CENSORED BY THE GOVERNMENT] and moreover,[CENSORED BY THE GOVERNMENT]. But that's not even the worst of it. On top of all that, [CENSORED BY THE GOVERNMENT] and they even [CENSORED BY THE GOVERNMENT]!!!

This was done at the request of the US government.

The US government dismantled Japan's wartime fascist government in the occupation years. Now that Chinese growth is increasing they want to build back up a warlike Japan, like Frankenstein's monster.

Be careful what you wish for...
