Peoples Christmas money is going to pay for power bills. I am now living next to the wood stove in a rather small area, even with the stove blazing it is about 60 deg inside. The windows are covered with ice on the inside. The air is so dry my nose hurts and face is cracking lol, even though I have three pans of water on the stove for humidity. I have to leave the water running day and night to keep lines from freezing. I have plenty of back up water stored just in case the lines do freeze. I am a lucky one with a wood stove and plenty of wood. I am grieved for others suffering from the cold less fortunate. I hear you! Stay as warm as you can. Keep your head covered to keep body heat. I remember many winters being in short supply of $$ and keeping it as cold as I could stand -- about 55-58F -- to stretch the propane. |

I will gladly take a week of below 0 this winter if it kill off the wasps / yellow jackets. They said bees were so bad this last summer because it did not get cold enough last year to reduce the number of bees but that is not true, where I am we did have long cold stretch as usual. If bees are that bad again this summer it is something else going on for sure. |
