Yay...heat wave! We're up to -10 F. Latest forecast states wind is going to pick up though so wind chills are still going to be cold. -34 F wind chill right now. I'm very grateful we didn't have a ton of wind with the bitter cold temps.

-11 NE Washington state and still falling. This is the worst so far and broke all the records. So more cold wave heading east. 2 am

Yes, it is some sort of conspiracy. Sunday highs in Nome, Alaska will be in the 30's. Higher up in Alaska, above the Artic circle highs today will be in the upper 20's. Weather man said , excluding Hawaii and Florida that Alaska will be the warmest state today. Something is changing.

I am so cold even with heat going. Its warmer -1 now. Maybe because this has lasted longer than usual. Starting to snow....which is good.

Maybe I should go bake something in oven....

Update of the Philly and Detroit game. A friend back east posted this. That was right at game start. Now I guess she says they can't even see anything in the stands. Her words, "up here we can't see shit, it's just like a big snow party. We don't even care there's a game going on below!"

We're back above zero. +7 F now which doesn't sound like much but that is 40 degrees warmer than yesterday.

11 here in the Idaho panhandle. We had record-setting cold this week. First Arctic blast in a few years.

Last night I wished I had never watched the movie "day after tomorrow"

It was below 0 and dropping a degree every half hr or less.

I have lived in the mountains over 50 years and have never seen anything like this in the Pacific North West.

They keep changing the weather forecast a few times a day and still get it wrong.

Now they say heavy snow starting tomorrow with no much end in sight for next ten days.

Good thing most of us on GLP are preppers.

I will be glad when the emergency weather takes a break so I can have a beer night.

No drinking in emergency conditions. Been there done that in younger days. Bad idea..............
