Tortoise is right, i am afraid. There is only one way to help Tomek, and that's to give him the advice to speak to a doctor about everything.

I have tried several times to help Tomek. He has stubbornly refused it.

If he is demonically oppressed, he can be helped, and really pretty easily too. He seems to enjoy it in some way and will not let go.

Some people do that because either they want attention, they enjoy the company of these demons or because they are getting some kind of benefit out of it that they don't want to lose.

He has become mixed up with the occult and is mixing that with orthodox Christianity, a big no-no. He has said that he thinks Jesus is Vishnu - which some would consider 'blasphemy of the Holy Spirit'.

You have to just let go of these oppressing spirits, they originally befriend you, but in the long run they only want your destruction. Tomek won't do that, he is enjoying them too much - for attention or because they make him feel important.

Jennifer, he is not 'suckered' into the Christian religion, he has made up his own quasi-religion, dabbled into the occult using it, and has been burned.

It would be much better for him if he gave up entirely on religion, or turned to Jesus.

He can remove these entities from his life very easily by doing so. They will indeed drive him crazy if he doesn't do so.

But Tomek seems to be convinced that he is going to save the day somehow, be some kind of hero - not a very humble attitude, which is what one must have to be a (true) Christian and receive the kind of deliverance he needs.

But don't blame it on religion, it is the heresy he is clinging to that is giving him problems, not 'religion'.

It does not logically follow that because Tomek reminds you in some ways of a mad relative whose delusional state was marked by devious manipulation that culminated in extreme violence, that Tomek is the same type of character.

The only knowledge you have of Tomeks’ character is what he chooses to write and that’s it, full stop. Unless you know him personally in meat world?

Is Tomek a certifiable gibbering lunatic? I have no first hand evidence with which to make such a conclusion so, I’ve no idea.

Do people need protecting from and warning about Tomek? It’s a message board so people can choose who they respond to and how. If people need protecting from themselves in this way then they need to have a carer sat at the side of them in the meatworld. Infringing people’s right to express themselves under the guise of protecting others has a nasty whiff of fascistic totalitarianism about it. Many people are also a lot more intelligent than you give then credit for.

Rather than enlightenment of others what this threads real purpose appears to be is one of character assassination, based on your fears and admittedly limited experience of mental illness.
