Shills

depends on who you ask. to a lot of people the "shill" is the person that does not agree with them. A few people will now come on here and tell you that I am the shill, lol. You will never really know i fear.
Basically, to me, the shill is the person that only focuses on derailing threads with pointless comments. We can be talking right now about shills, and real people will come on with their theories, but the shill will come and post something like "wtf would you know you useless twat. we all hate you". It is ap ost that has nothing to do with the conversation. It is designed to make everyone reading it mistrust the person they are talking to, and if anyone bites and takes the bait, you end up with a big fight, then a dead thread. Hope that helps.

Yeah nice one, I am new to these types of forums, and I am a bit dumb to top it all off. I know what the definition of a shill is but I have been trying to identify them, so this helps a lot thanks. I think there is a shill in the pinned mandela thread, but who knows.

you really never know! My rule of thumb now is that anyone that is either contributing to the debate - even if i hate them or disagree with them, lol - is a legit poster, and i do my best to give them respect.

Anyone not contributing, being abusive, name calling, seems to have no opinions data or thoughts to share, i could care less about i will not be nice to them. if they bug me enough i will tell them off and not feel bad. if they direct name calling towards me I will report them.

I always thought a shill was someone that got paid (or some sort of compensation) to further some interest. like let's say you make a thread ranting about cheeseburgers, and I come along and don't tell you I work for mc donalds, but proceed to try and convince you that cheeseburgers are great for your health.

that is what a shill is, and i do think the abusive posters that are just ehre to cause crap do get paid for it.

If you mention anything about astroids, space, comets, niburu, or Ison, you meet a lot of shills. Starting with Astro-butt, and all his friends. There are different shills for different subjects. You will recognize them before long. They are always pushing the governmnet approved point of veiw.

Painful and totally ineffective, just punch holes through their arguments, it seems pretty easy to me, but then maybe I haven't come across any shill's yet.

A troll is someone out to argue and be a pain in the bum for the lulz. A shill is really someone with an agenda trying to derail a thread for a higher cause or money. Paid by the government to stop us focusing on the truth.

I really doubt real shills care about GLP and our ramblings tbh. Mainly you get called if someone doesn't agree with you, remember at least 50% f GLP are crazy and can't grasp the fact every thought in there tiny mind is not worshipped.

In many instances, a shill will be the very first post after the threads creator(OP), and will tell you that "it" does not exist
