Good thing I keep older parts around though there is a keyboard to use. Thanks for letting me know. I was hoping it was my spazzing with the keys. I was hoping there was a key combo I could use to straighten it out. ![]() |

Unplug it,turn it upside down, and shake it a bit, and check for debris falling out. If you have a dry soft scrub brush, lightly scrub around all the grooves between the keys, and then turn it upside down again, and tap on the back. Wet a cotton cloth with some cleaner and hot water, squeeze it well, and then wipe the keys, and between the keys. Let it totally dry for about an hour, then plug it back in. If it still is acting up, you need a keyboard. If it is working again, you are all set. I have a tendency to munch on snacks sometimes, when I am online. No matter how careful I am, some crumbs will fall between the keys, and jam them up. this is what I do to clean it up, and get it working again. Another tip to get the last life out of a keyboard. When your letters start fading, use whiteout to mark the keys. :) Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

Ok I want you to try something won't cost you anything but time. From your log in screen I want you to do a hard reset meaning pull your plug ins so there is no power source running to the computer and then hold that power button down until the screen goes blank. Your computer should click and then go black. Turn your case over and undo the screws to the battery pack and completely disconnect and pull the battery. Insert it back in and then try and fire it up and see if the keys work then. |
