I'm appalled by that grey area below the left solar panel. They were supposed to either finish the sky or add some textured mounts in that area, but I think they just fucked up.

Not to mention that they also forgot to put Earth in the background as well.

I set StarryNight to display the lunar sky as seen from the landing site in Sinus Iridium, at the approximate time they say the rover took the picture of the lander.

Considering that Sinus Iridium is placed in the lunar north pole, I guess that should be the correct celestial position as seen from the rover camera when it took the picture of the lander:

Although the picture released by the Chinese government is not wide enough to allow a better vision, what prevents a confirmation of the Sun's position, still there SHOULD BE a lot of flares around the lander, shouldn't????

there is no missing texture. the texture is there, it is just that the picture is over exposed in those areas and it is getting washed out. if i adjust the levels i can see texture, far from missing anything really.

I think the reason you prefer to think it fake is because it appears to show stars behind it, and that would go against your previous claims.

as for earth, the sky is big. how do you know for sure that the earth is supposed to be in this particular frame and not slightly to the left or right?

LOOL your "overexposure" CONVENIENTLY appears in the EXACT location where I pointed the clearly visible straight line where the black sky is unfinished and strangely your "overexposure" doesn't affect the solar array.

If that border was irregular, curvaceous with a mound shape, you could even fool someone with your bullshit, alleging a relief feature there, but too bad for you it's a straight line.

The relief horizon is CLEARLY defined because the ground texture is darker than the grey missing area.

But regardless all obvious visible evidences, your butthurt reaction alone just wraps it all.

it is not much of a straight line ford. i have a lot of experience with photography, and i am telling you there is ground texture in that spot, and it looks very natural to me.
there is not supposed to be sky in that spot.
the grey part you are talking about is obviously below the horizon as anyone can see.

That grey area is a gross mistake made when someone forgets to apply texture to .3ds, .obj models in a scene. Been there, done that.

CGI programs display 3D objects either in wireframe or flat-shaded polygons. Perhaps whoever rendered that image was in a hurry, under pressure and either forgot to add texture to a last object or thought nobody would notice because flat-shaded models are grey as well.

If you're gonna fake a moon landing still image, you gotta do it flawlessly because anyone with some mileage in 3D rendering will spot a mistake.



It doesn't matter the extension of the sky area, because it's a background layer and the other 3D objects, including the terrain, are placed in front of it.

The grey are is clearly distinct from the horizon, anyone with experience in 3D rendering can see that.

Not only Earth, but the Sun as well, because that's the celestial position as seen from the rover in Sinus Iridium.

Conveniently the Chinese government didn't release a wide angle image of the lander because there's nothing in the sky behind it.

i clearly showed the ground terrain hidden in the grey area. you cannot debunk it. What are you saying? they put it in and covered it up with grey and forgot to uncover it?
First you said it was supposed to be sky but when i argued that you said it didnt even matter.
it is ground, obviiously, and with a tweak of the exposure i can reveal the ground, so whatever it is you are trying to do you are failing, since it is so easily debunked by anyone with photoshop.

Plain and simple china found out USA faked the landing and instead of calling our bluff there saying they made it also what is the USA gonna do say its fake.I doubt it.

You just made my point tampering with the levels of the image. The top of your "terrain" is the edge of the solar panel and after the grey area is saturated to blue, the difference between the ground texture and the missing area flat-shaded surface is even MORE highlighted.

Yep, it's not the sky, it's just a 3D terrain model that was supposed to blend in with the ground and cover the unfinished sky, but someone forgot to apply a texture.

Playing with color levels is far from debunking the lack of texture in a 3d model. Try again.
