That could be a reflection off the metal. My only problem is that the light source have to come from a vertical or below direction. For instance, if the light source come from a vertical direction (from the side parallel to the ground) the reflection could not project on the groud like that. Event if the light hit the side and reflected at an angle to the solar panels bottom. Then to the ground. It would lose alot of the light and not look so destinct. Since the angle of the solar panel is pointing slightly down i can understand how the light can be concentrated to a small point like it is due to the angle of the reflection. However, the light would have to be from a point below the vertical axis of the solar panels lowest point. That would put in in the dirt unless there is a non-sun light source. But from a GLP side of my i think the reflection look like light beings shined through a plastic bag of water. just my 2 cent |

The quality is way inferior to the pic of the rover, and it should be exactly the opposite, as long as the cameras of the rover are supposed to take hi-res images. But what bothers me most is that EARTH is nowhere to be seen in the sky behind the lander, but the satellite dish of the rover is pointed in that direction. That look odd to me. The reflection you speak of regarding the rover: It is not from the solar panel, but is angled sunlight going through the gap between the solar panel and the body of the rover and reflecting off the bright silver foil on the sides of the rover. The underside of the solar panels would not reflect and certainly not at that angle. Look again. |

I didn't disagree with reflections, I just find odd the way that that particular reflection is moving in the irregular soil and the lack of OTHER reflections, since the rover is fully exposed to sun light. I just don't get why you're so butthurt for the Chinese government, but if it makes you sleep better at night not talking about awkward reflections in the lunar surface (or in a lunar set in some Chinese studio), I'll leave you alone. There are a lot of people butt hurt for the Chinese on this thread, aren't there? WTF? Are they just compulsive buttboys (and girls) for the authorities or do they get paid?
