tbh I'm not too amazed, I'm a chef (write that down data miners) and while I don't dip my fingers into the actual fryer your hands do become seriously immune to heat after a while, I regularly pick up stuff that has literally just come up from the oil... still coated in it.

But the top level of the oil is not as hot as you might think anyway and I notice his fingertips are well coated in batter.

It's a nice gimmick but not anything really amazing tbh.

If you watch the video you see that his fingers are heavily coated in batter or whatever the orange crap is. This on top of building a tolerance to burning yourself is how he does it. Simple.

If you burn your finger just grab your ear lobe. The heat gets dissipitated by the tissue which absorbs all the heat and you can actually feel the warmth being transferred.

Just a tip I learnt from an uncle who learnt it from an east Indian professor.

Coating doesn't stick to the skin after you dip into liquid, the most logical explanation is a possible pain-reception nerve damage and he didn't figure it out yet.

But then, that's India, the ultimate woo-woo land, so it wouldn't be a surprise if that chef has his body half in the 3rd dimension and half in the 5th.

I´ve seen a lot of weird shit in India. Maybe he is some kind of trained Yogi.

What some Yoguis and fakirs do is no "trick", it´s control over the body way beyond we think is possible. There aren´t many of them but you sure will find them in India.
