Only two miserable pictures since their lander allegedly arrived on the Moon.

It looks like the original lander design!?

In space travel terms, the original lander is like a Penny Farthing, and China want us to believe they have succeeded over 30 years later with yet another Penny Farthing, have they learnt nothing in 30 years?

31 pictures, half of them CGI shots of the landing simulation, and the other half are the same released during the weekend. Still frames of the rover being deployed. No new images there.

Re: China stopped releasing images of the lunar mission already??
Any moontards with expertise in lunar missions in here???

I set StarryNight to display the lunar sky as seen from the landing site in Sinus Iridium, at the approximate time they say the rover took the picture of the lander.

Considering that Sinus Iridium is placed in the lunar north pole, I guess that should be the correct celestial position as seen from the rover camera when it took the picture of the lander:

Although the picture released by the Chinese government is not wide enough to allow a better vision, what prevents a confirmation of the Sun's position, still there SHOULD BE a lot of flares around the lander, shouldn't????

Anyone???

When I said "stopped releasing images" I meant besides the two official pictures that the rover and the lander took of each other.

The landing of Chang'e 3 ALONE is a dead giveaway.

[link to g16i.img-up.net]

NO dust was blown off the ground by the engine whatsoever and there's not a spec of dust in the onboard camera lens either.
