OP, please don't listen to the naysayers and the negative comments here regarding the military - they come from internet warriors who have never had the guts to find out for themselves instead of relying on internet sources who haven't served either. The military is nothing of what it is portrayed like here and elsewhere in the MSM, and the hippies of the 60's and 70's have only shifted their hatred and protesting of the military to more backhanded and deceptive means.

You at least understand that serving in the military is an honorable thing, not because of what the military's purpose is, but because it is a decision to be part of something bigger than yourself, and it involves putting your life on the line for a cause greater than what many small minded people are able to understand. What many do not understand is that military members are not robots, they are not unintelligent, and they are not the monsters they are portrayed to be by the peanut gallery.

I wish more people were like you, instead of the hateful, ungrateful, and selfish gluttons that they are. I call them gluttons because they gorge themselves on the freedom and liberty they are provided, with no consideration for who has provided it to them, and they abuse that freedom and liberty to bite the hand that feeds them. There are monsters in this world, and they would like nothing better than to rid the world of the US - and sadly, they are winning. You're welcome, I agreed to share with those that ask, and of course I believe in a creator, God, and so do they, but they are just as clueless as the rest of us as to who or what God is...the one thing they know for sure is that everything that makes up creation is not an accident, they know much more than our scientists and there's no doubt of an intelligent and deliberate design.

It's an emotional program designed to not allow for unpatriotic behavior. Add the death of a loved one who served and you better fucking support the troops. Why? Because my son died!!! Better to grieve and heal knowing they died for country.
