...
Hold on a minute,
"They regret engineering themselves in different ways, such as their lack of emotions"
If "they" lack emotion then how do they have "regret"?
You haven't thought your "story" through very well have you Panty!?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 39864188 Regret, as in upon reflection, they have realized, through experience that their decisions were not optimal, although at the time they were logical.
Quoting: BRIEF Doesn't work like that Panty.
If "they" are without emotion "they" are unable to reflect or realise an emotion such as regret.
Robots don't eat, nor are they able to understand or show emotion.
Essentially "they" would be akin to what we call robots or artificial intelligence.
Now if "they" are physical beings and "they" don't eat how do "they" grow?
I'm assuming "they" reproduce to sustain "their" population.
And I'm assuming the newborns grow physically as we do, or are "they" artificially birthed after developing in a nutrient tank or similar?
Naturally I'm also assuming "they're" completely organic biological beings, or "they'd" be unable to hybridise with the earths human inhabitants.
Which brings me to the question of how "their" life force is sustained given they don't eat?
What powers "their" body and mind for the duration of "their" lives? (which you say is much longer than our own life span)
Do "they" breathe & how do "they" regulate "their" body temperature?
Are you intelligent & imaginative enough to formulate realistic or even plausible answers to these simple questions?
And lastly;
What's with all the role play & tales of fancy that frequently dominates this site?
Isn't there other avenues available for the delusions and fantasies of the delusionists & fantasists?
World of Warcraft or dungeons & dragons or whatever the kids are into nowadays.
I think glp gets enough visitors interested in exposing wrong doings, discussing conspiracy theories & facts, governmental incompetence & corruption etc, that it can do without the false prophets and role playing fantasists.
