In the best traditions of NASA fashion, they have come up with a simple but innovative series of work-arounds to keep Hopkins safe in case the water system in his suit leaks again.

Out of curiosity, why don't they use the Orlan suits?

We are way overdue for a false flag space disaster. Losing a space station crew would put a complete end to manned space exploration on the U.S. and Russian side, and then we would just sabotage the next couple of Chinese manned trips and that would be all she wrote for at least the next 200-300 years. Trapped on this water world, dying from heat and no rain. Simply too much CO2.

Why do you think that they are doing this?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 51702849

Asteroids/Comets/Meteors are inbound. Even Karl Battams admits that there will be small shooting stars as a result of ISON. Since NASA didn't grind these dusts from ISON into very fine material themselves, I want to presume that the Astronauts in the ISS won't be left up there to face the potential risk of an impact from one of the "FINE DUSTS" from ISON that just happens not to have been ground properly.

Would NASA keep astronauts up there knowing that asteroids/meteors/comets etc. are inbound?

Also, if NASA had to bring the astronauts home under the guise of a fault on ISS or any other excuse they can dream up, that means that they aren't going to tell the world that something is coming from space.

So, how does NASA and the PTB save face and hide all the inbound asteroids/meteors/comets? Or more appropriately, what resembles asteroids/meteors/comets with trails? Did you say missiles and rockets?

Now you know why propaganda of a war with China, NK etc are on the rise!
 Quoting: Ohwell

Oh boy, you guys have to make everything about deceased ISON???

Why bother sending astronauts in 3 dangerous consecutive EVAs, to fix a pump module just to have an excuse to send them back to Earth???

They could just de-man the ISS, keep it on the "automatic" until the end of January and broadcast looping old videos of astronauts aboard and nobody would even notice until the next crew had docked.
 Quoting: Ford Prefect

They do some really neat scientific research up there. The kind of stuff that can never be automated.

One study is a form of combustion, but is ultra cool and if FAR more efficient. It is easy to do it in zero-g.

Other stuff we do not have the privilege to know of. I'm sure some of the experiments would make Tesla proud.

Of course, all that shit stopped as of the cooling issue.

For all we know, the ISS was invaded by the Chinese.

Well, if it's any consolation the hot blonde chick is no rookie in EVAs:

Bolinger, Allison

Allison Bolinger joins her first analog mission unlike any other rookie — as a crewmember.

Allison started at Johnson Space Center as a cooperative education student from Purdue University in 2001. After earning her B.S. in Aerospace Engineering in 2004, she has worked full-time as an instructor and flight controller in the Extravehicular Activities (EVA) group within the Mission Operations Directorate. She brings with her real-time EVA experience, including leading the 4 spacewalks conducted on STS-134, the final flight of space shuttle Endeavour in May 2011. Outside of work Allison enjoys running, crafting, traveling and spending time with her husband and their 2 dogs.

Funny cause that shit don't work all that well on me. Using tv skanks to sell their truth.

Fortunately for me, unfortunate for the NASA propaganda, my wife is smoking hot.

All I see is a plastic tube with a shammie sponge.

This is going to keep a few gallons of water back?!?! lmfao, no maxi-pad I know of can come anywhere near that absorbent.

Sure, i bet those astronauts are laughing at their orders right now. "You want us to do WHAT?!?!"

ISS Crew: Um NASA, we thought about your decision and this is what we think.

ISS Crew: You can shove it up your pot smoking ass if you think I'm going to drown with an over sized tampon stuck in the back of my head.

Why can't we get some NEW, FUNCTIONING suits sent up????!!!!

This fix, albeit an interesting one, is a cheap solution to a BIG problem. For fuck sake, send up the space marines (lol).

Send up some tools so the astronauts don't have to work like that.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 51702849

Because they've had to delay the Antares resupply launch until after this is done, and if the other coolant loop should experience a problem and shut down, then it's time to evacuate the station. Not a good day. The problem is manageable right now, but it leaves them with no redundancy in case of another coolant problem. It's a rather complicated job to fix it too, requiring multiple spacewalks, so this isn't something you can just do on a whim if further problems start to develop. In the best traditions of NASA fashion, they have come up with a simple but innovative series of work-arounds to keep Hopkins safe in case the water system in his suit leaks again.

The IS(i)S is a hoax and you know it.

This is all theatre (of the absurd).
We are being prepared for the dismantling of the Con. The movie Gravity, the game Call of Duty Ghosts, the Canadian AstroNot singing 'a space odyssey' etc. all precondition us for this upcoming aspect of the fairytale IS(i)S narrative.

All complete and utter BullShit!

Re: NASA is going to send astronauts to perform spacewalks with LEAKING malfunction inside their suits.
...

Did my post support that line of thought? Nope. Only the theatre surrounding what we are watching. You responded to my post didn't you? Did mine say anything about ISS being fake?

Your post only agreed with the post you were responding to.
"We are being prepared for the dismantling of the Con."
By agreeing that they are "preparing us" and that it is indeed "theater of the absurd," you are agreeing with his post. I do not see where you qualify your statement to say that you do not agree with his that ISS is fake. You appear to be in complete agreement. It now turns out that you weren't even aware of what you agreeing with...
"No one said the ISS was fake!"
Now you're having to walk that one back. Whatever. Just a suggestion, you should probably read more carefully before you throw your support behind a post.

I would assume that your response was a knee-jerk reaction. I will leave it at that. How can you now say you know what I think.
 Quoting: Ohwell

You expressed yourself with this thing called a "post." Neat huh? Next time try reading what you're responding to. I did. You apparently didn't.

Is every post you see on GLP a reply to the one above it? You are indeed one handful. If you don't understand what someone is driving at, ask for clarification. If not, move on. Again, your response was a knee-jerk reaction. I can understand that. Your persistence as to dictate to everyone what to think is arrogance beyond measure.

We are not talking about hot chicks here....this is serious, and lives could be lost.

Derailing your own thread, Ford?

I pretty much can talk about whatever I want in my thread, so keep your cuntness strictly inside YOUR threads.

 Quoting: Ohwell

If you hit a quote button on a post and start replying to it, directly addressing it and agreeing with it, then yes, generally it is taken to be a reply to it.
