Sorry - forgot to say he is using the physical events to run up to the finale - the spiritual events.

He wants mankind to see that his word is coming true.

He wants no one to perish.

They are fools if they can't recognize what is going on.

Of course most won't, but he is a good God, loving God and a patient God.

But like he says - he is a Holy God and will not let Evil take over this world.
