My gas / electric company just installed a "SMART" meter on my home....should I be concerned??? | |

On the surface, they tell you it's for better billing accuracy, but I suspect something more devious is at hand. Why does my gas/electric need to be remotely accessed and controlled? Sounds fishy and evidently I can't opt out. I refused to mail back their "consent" forms for about 6 months but low and behold I came home yesterday and saw the things attached to my meters! WTF?
