Nextcoin looks interesting to me (yes, i own about a thousand), as it's the first cryptocurrency that's fundamentally different to BTC. it's had a rush of interest for some reason in the past few days, to the extent that the forum is down again, ha.

It's a real cryptocurrency, but it's about 1/1000th the size of Bitcoin. It won't last long, along with all the other Bitcoin lookalikes.

Holding Bitcoin back is one thing; trying to sell bullshit beside it is another. Bitcoin is the leader of the pack; it's Internet 2.0, currency style.

Just buy and hold. Really you didn't pay too much for that quark off ebay. They are an insane royal ass pain to acquire off of exchanges so consider yourself an early adopter with a nice seat on the train. Sit back and watch the fireworks. There is about to be an incredible crypto rush.

bitcoin is the real deal, but a lot of people feel they missed the train, which isn't true. Quark is the only alt that I buy aside from protoshares and litecoin, but it does have something different to offer.

Buy a little bit coin first. Then trade some for others. I see a day when one wallet can hold all of these.

I see absolutely no need for multiple types of currency. Especially when the second largest, Litecoin, is about 400,000 times less secure than Bitcoin is already.

Like the other AC said, I honestly see other cryptos as a joke. They will definitely be washed out when Bitcoin starts growing big.

Honestly they are holding back bitcoin by having all that wealth spread out between other cryptos. It's quite a shame...

Well this is a free market. Litecoin will become as secure as bit coin. Quark is already more secure than both. That is why I like it.

None will go away, but this is like a marathon and some will win out over time.

Quarkcoin is about 2x as difficult as Litecoin, but Bitcoin still blows both of them out of the water.
