I'll probably be on GLP. Enjoying the laughs had here.
Quoting: nah I remember being a pall-bearer for Orthodox Midnight Christmas Mass. Holding the candles for 3 to 4 hours, barely able to keep standing up. LoL A true test of faith for a 12-year old. LoL We always celebrated Kolede with a bonfire the night before (6th) at the church. The fire marshals always shut us down because nobody ever bothered to get a permit for it! Such is the life of non conforming Orthodox Christians. Do you do the chestnuts with Kolede too? My grandmother used to make us aprons and people would put candy and chestnuts inside them for us at the church. YES! The kids would make these weird tinfoil-covered, decorated sticks and go around reciting an ancient blessing to the adults. If we did it correctly, they would give us candy or coins. You know there is something special about traditions. I really love learning about different cultures and their traditions. It is totally fascinating. I took anthropology at university because I love cultural studies. Thanks for sharing them you both. edited to correct spelling.
