Miami through though palm beach county would not necessarily be directly affected by the tsunami.

The Bahamas and Bahamas Bank would seriously decrease its direct impact.

This has obviously occurred before over millions of years and if you study the geology of Florida you will notice where huge sand deposits have occurred and where through erosion much of the coastal area has been worn down.

This area of Miami to Palm beach is relatively low lying so while a direct impact would be most unlikely flooding would still be a major issue.

At Biggest risk along the east coast of the US is the multiple nuclear facilities which are located on the eastern seaboard.
