How the heck do you reroute a bayou?

That would be one hell of a major engineering job. Bayou Corne is a BIG bayou. I think right now they are grasping at straws just to make people believe they are doing something about the situation.

We live less than 50 miles away...There was talk a while back that 500 miles would be the worse case scenario.

The strangest thing happened yesterday. I just associated it with the quaking in the ground.
We had two different people come by late yesterday afternoon looking for missing dogs. One was a Pug and the other a Jack Russell.
I've lived here 40 years and this has never happened before. We get an occasional hunting dog that shows up, but they have tags with phone numbers where you can call the owner. Never had people actually out actively hunting for their pets before. I have always heard that animals can sense movements in the ground. I hope this isn't a bad omen...

Only if they actually get to the point of trying to reroute the bayou. Which, based on the current rate of no-one doing anything to stop this slow motion doom, means they will only think about it and do nothing.

I truly hope they figure out a plan before it's too late!
