I usually am up at that time and have off this week til Thursday - a few days to try! Funny how this thread is being passed over - it is nice. Funny how this thread is being passed over - it is nice. I'm going to work early and will check it out then. I remember Hale-Bopp and it was phenomenal. I was really excited about ISON, but oh well. There will be more and the thing about comets is that usually they are surprises. |

Funny how this thread is being passed over - it is nice. This. Finding a decent viewing location is hell. Light pollution infuriates the shit out of me. I was able to get some pics of it but they more or less just show a green fuzzy spot with some tail visible. The tail more or less looks like camera noise though. I really envy those of you that aren't stuck in the suburbs. I'm one ruined night of viewing away from shooting out my neighbor's flood lights. Last Edited by Lord Kinbote on 12/31/2013 06:47 AM |

I am in Central Calif., and the sky was filled with chem trails. Not 3 or 4 but 12 or more. Fresno is not far me where I am. I am looking for the "fireballs" everyone is seeing, figuring they must fall during the daytime as well and this caught my eye. Astounding as I am a sky watcher and this was really over the top - flights between LA and SF may go through here-so maybe holiday flights could explain it but the traffic was going every which way (trails). Hence, we have an overcast sky tonight. Had a dream long ago which showed me the future and it was not pretty. Been watching closely ever since. |
