There is No Reason to think South Carolina Has a Serial Killer
None at all. Its a tourist destination, after all, we must stay calm.

Lt. Robert Kegler with Horry County Police confirmed major crimes is investigating another disappearance.

He said Jamie Lynn Cross, 24, of Murrells Inlet was reported missing on Christmas Day, but was last seen on December 23.

Cross, the mother of a young son, is described as having blue eyes and neon pink hair.

She was last seen leaving her Myrtle Beach home in a green Volkswagen around 5 p.m. the 23. Her family expected her around 10 p.m. that night, but she has not been heard from since.

The piney woods have held strange secrets before:

In his profile of South Carolina’s most prolific and infamous serial killer, Anderson author Wilton Earl quoted Donald “Pee Wee” Gaskins as saying, “I have walked the same path as God, by taking lives and making others afraid, I became God's equal.”
The number of Gaskins’ victims is uncertain. Some have said it could be as many as 100. And he did not just murder. He raped, tortured, cannibalized. His victims were male and female, children and babies. He employed practically every way possible to kill someone: choked, slit throats, poisoning, drowning, beating and execution-style shootings.

Gaskins, born in 1933 in Florence, began what would end up being a life of crime at a young age after his mother neglected him and her lovers beat him. He quit school when he was 11 and with some friends burglarized homes. The first person he murdered was his niece and her friend. That was 1970.

Five years later, Gaskins showed police where he buried eight people on property he owned in Prospect. His death sentence was commuted to life imprisonment when the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the death penalty in the U.S. Gaskins then killed a fellow inmate and received another death sentence. He was executed in 1991, the fourth person in South Carolina to die in the electric chair since the death penalty was reinstated.

His final words were: “I'm ready to go."

Just like its normal to have hidden rooms with kiddie porn and blood soaked carpets in your illegal daycare.

[link to www.wect.com]

But according to the police report, that wasn't the only thing he discovered. There were strange locks on the closet in the master bedroom allowing it to be locked from the inside and a 4' by 4' blood stain until the carpet in another room.

Neighbors of this renter believed there was a male and female living in the home previously that were arrested on drug charges and for running an illegal daycare service.

Everything is fine in South Carolina! Vist today.

Despite 20 years or more of dark rumors spread by gossiping old women at Church meetings and flea markets and christenings and funerals the menance remains unnamed in the shadows. Whispered about very quietly so the children won't hear as they play in the dirt at our feet. The old women listen, the police turn away. Does anybody really want to slog through the cold swamps looking for yet more bodies?

Terry Elvis, who just days ago added $9,000 of his own money to the now $20,000 reward, is "surrounded by darkness" as he waits for his daughter to come home, he wrote in a New Year's Eve message on Facebook on Tuesday afternoon.

Elvis posted the news just as one of three missing area women were found -- and as officials announced skeletal remains were from a man who was at least 20 years old.

A second woman, 24-year-old Jamie Lynn Cross, a mother from Murrells Inlet, who disappeared on Dec. 23, remains missing in what police say is an unrelated case.

There was no news about Heather Elvis as more searches for her continued Tuesday.

Many said there was more to that than just abusive parents. Men willing to pay for sex with children. Its not like it may not have happened before, just across the border in Tabor City

Broke and living in a trailer park with his disabled mother, Wright, 15 years old at the time, wanted to borrow money. To his surprise, his attorney, R.C. Soles, told him he would give him the money. Within weeks of that meeting, Soles, now 77, began making sexual advances, Wright said. Soon, Wright said he began having sex with Soles, who at the time was a powerful state legislator.

"I didn't know what to do. I didn't know who to tell. I didn't know if it was right. I didn't know if it was wrong," Wright said. "All I know is he started giving me more money. Started giving me $5,000 and $6,000 at a time."

No matter what rumors continue to swirl around RC, he is still given the highest honor in the state. We citizens of Carolina can ignore things. Ignore them for a long time if it suits us. [link to www.wwaytv3.com]
Just another award that now means nothing because of the people that receive it. Like most awards that are given out now the standards have been lowered to where they mean nothing other than you knew the people on the selection
comittee.

Until it finally bites us on the...

[link to www.wect.com]

Officers with the Tabor City Police Department arrested a man the day after Christmas in connection to biting a woman on the breast.

According to police, Danielle Jernigan told officers she went to RC Soles' home to speak with him, but found Jonathan "Chub" Gray sleeping on the property.

Police said Jernigan woke up Gray, warning him to leave because he would be arrested if police caught him on Soles' property.

Jernigan told police that's when Gray held her down and bit her left breast.

Soles is old now, far too old to be a predator, if ever he was one. Does a younger, sleeker, stronger, more vicious hunter haunt the woods of home? No lunatic sleeping in the grass, but a gray man, shadowing the night. These women may not be the ones. They may simply have run away, or fallen victim to jealous ex boyfriends or unfortunate strangers. But someday, before I die, this thread will be bumped. By the rumors coming to the light.

Gotta watch that bottom line.

They'd rather have people coming in and spending that money than living in fear and holding onto that cash.

Not to mention that we don't want cops looking stupid when the bodies start piling up and they can't figure shit out, even with cameras on every street corner because it's 2014...

On the contrary; As long as a twisted soul has breath and movement, he can still be a predator. Nursing homes have the nasty old men who like a grab, and households have the "senile" old man kids figure out its best not to get within arm's length of.

Thanks to the distractions of the drug war, no one has time to do the police work necessary to catch them anymore. Too busy busting pot grows.

If you tell the cops there is a farm full of bodies somewhere (edit-which I have), they quite literally hang up on you because they simply don't have time to pursue cases of that nature. Serial killers are a lot of work, consume a lot of resourses. When cops don't even have the time to drive a mentally ill kid to the hospital:

Thread: Update-Grand Jury Indictes officer- Schizophrenic Kid killed because police "don't have time for this"

How much time do they have to look at old cases? Or unmarked graves. How many rural family cemeteries have a few extra bodies?

Still missing:

Grief-stricken father reveals tragic last selfie and text message he received from his daughter, 20, on her first date with a new man before she vanished without a trace
Police are still looking for 20-year-old Heather Elvis who went missing following a first date on December 18

The day following the date, her car was found abandoned at a dock

In an essay on xoJane, her father Terry Ellis shared the last picture she texted him the night before she disappeared
The picture shows Heather learning to drive a stick-shift on the date
Her disappearance remains a mystery but the man who took her out has been ruled out as a suspect after passing a lie detector test

Even when SC catches a murderer, they are out in record time:

Detectives say Counts and John Gamble sexually assaulted, beat and repeatedly stabbed Frink. They even ran over her body several times with a car, detectives say. But now Counts is up for a program called MAPP, and if he passes, he will be released from prison.

MAPP stands
for Mutual Agreement Parole Program. It's designed to prepare model inmates for release through structured activities, participating in community-based programs and other criteria.

S.C. also has a pipeline for Native American children, taken from the tribes against Federal law, that states the tribes must be informed before any adoption can take place.

They are human trafficked into S. Carolina, basically sold for adoption. It's a racket, and sadly, protected all the way up the line.

Re: There is No Reason to think South Carolina Has a Serial Killer
My first experience with death was a serial killer. I was six years old and living in Cypress, Calif. I didn't even know you could die. My neighbor was a fifteen year old girl who had my name. She and another girl went hitchhiking ( this was around 1974) and were found three months later in the Sierra Nevadas, raped, stabbed and tied to a tree and left to die. I got all the gory details from her little brother (my age).
I was horrified and sad for her so I was crying and upset and my wonderful handler step-mother came in my room and made me turn it all off. We weren't allowed to have emotion. Anyway,I just sublimated those emotions and have studied serial killers ever since.
Here in the Midwest we have the Smiley Face killer who is up over four hundred victims. All white males who are leaders in their colleges, found apparently drowned in our rivers. Very hushed up. I believe they are culling our best and brightest.
Independent and spontainious serial killers are more rare, I think than the ones backed up by a network. Manson, Son-of-Sam, Richard Remerez, and the like are all backed up and triained by spooks.
An example of a independent killer would be Edward Gein from our very own Wisconsin. If you study his upbringing, you can see how he might have turned out that way.

Eyes open people!

The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects.

The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard.
The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass.
