You can not have "fallout" without a nuclear detonation.
Sure you can have contamination like in Chernobyl, but the Fuku reactors didn't actually explode like Chernobyl.
They over heated and release hydrogen gas as a safety mechanism to stop them exploding.
The Fuku reactors use water unlike Chernobyl which used graphite which caught on fire.

No they didn't explode, one reactor when it over heated released radioactive hydrogen gas to prevent it exploding.
The outer buildings not related to radiation collapsed from the pressure of this gas release.
These are water reactors not graphite reactors like Chernobyl.
I don't even think you people fully understand how any of this works.

They did not breach the reactor vessel itself but the fuel assemblies got damaged which makes it very hard to dismantle the reactors.
