Anyone else live on an island? Originally, but now island full time-- just go back occasionally to visit family. How is it in Honduras? What do you do there? How's the economy? The islands are part of Honduras. They were a British possession until the 1860's. Here is a brief history of the Bay Islands: [link to www.aboututila.com] The economies depend on fishing and tourism. No big stores or drive thru fast food on the islands. People are very friendly and beautiful. Most speak English. |

Anyone else live on an island? Please tell me you're not on Roatan. I am SUPPOSED to live there but I'm here in the cold. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31659000 Yes- one of the Bay Islands--why can't you live on Roatan? Because about two weeks before I was going to leave my girlfriend informed me she was pregnant. Now I'm married and have a 3 year old. Eventually I hope to leave my wife and bring my daughter to Roatan to live. It's a great place to be and you're lucky. Of course by the time I get there I'm afraid it will be like the Bahamas or something. Maybe Utila is better. Do they still have the Bojangles on Roatan? |
