SPUD 01/17/2014 06:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am not happy with USPS because several items over the last year look like they were literally run over by a fork truck or a conveyer ate them up. Horrible black marks and contents crushed. Anyone but USPS for me! "Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most" ___________ "May your chains rest lightly upon you..." |

You would sometimes thing bringing mail by horse and carriage would be faster than whatever means of transportation that USPS is currently operating. I rarely rant about anything. And I never liked the USPS but the one time I need something in a timely manner, it takes what seems like forever. Quoting: homelessguy92 Reasonably speaking, how long should a package take to travel the 1500 ought miles from Dallas Texas to upstate New York. Granted it was mailed on the 31st. Yeah I know people will argue that there was a holiday, and a sunday, but the fact is this. Even though the mail does not do residential or business deliveries on sundays or holidays, the USPS is still operating, transporting, sorting, moving mail through the system---just not to your door. So now it's bee 6 days since a package was shipped and I still do not have it. Am I being unreasonable expecting to have it be now? Curious as to what others think. the employees are not held responsible for their actions, and if you complain, they will just throw your mail away which I suspect they do anyway Unlike Fed Ex and UPS,they cant track a package either, they are hopelessly behind in technology, and next they will also be responsible for your health care, or ones just like them "It's a friendly friendly world" (Andy Kaufman) Calm seas do not a sailor make, Nor easy horses, a horseman. And Jesus was a sailor when he walked upon the water And he spent a long time watching from his lonely wooden tower and when He could be certain only drowning men could see Him- Leonard Cohen |

Also 6 days is not that long. I've waited longer for a fedex package and it's not Union. It has everything to do with management. USPS is the cheapest way to send a package. If you want 2 day delivery you can pay 20 dollars to ups or FedEx. Or you can pay $6 to the USPS and wait a week. OP fails. Brief fails. |

I gotta stand on the other side of the fence on this one - In all my years of living I struggle to think of a time when the usps really screwed the pooch on mail delivery! Think about it - ALL THOSE ENVELOPS AND PACKAGES...MILLIONS per day!!! For what it is, I think they do a pretty good job! |

Then they hire morons who will work for 8-10 bucks cheaper than the people they fired out of desperation. Kind of how the job market works these days. Prepare your anus.
