Rather than get depressed that essentially life has no meaning, he thinks that is the meaning.
It is beautiful when you understand it. That is one reason I have been trying to get some to read that essay of his, the Myth of Sisyphus.
In Greek Mythology he was a man who out-witted a couple of gods, different ones depending on the era, and as result, was forced to push a huge boulder up a giant hill all day, then when he reached the top with no where to go, it would roll back down and he had to start over, endlessly.
