What is the best place to homestead / Bug out ?

If I could go where I thought would probably be one of the best places to live through everything we very likely might be living through in years to come, I would probably go to the middle of the country- Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma- rural, wooded, water, mild climate, low population, good growing seasons, abundant game and livestock, farm country.

Somewhere at least 4800 feet above sea level, at least 700 miles away from Yellowstone and on a geologically stable plate that already got it's earthquakes and vulcanism out of it's system millions of years ago.

Foraging and hunting isn't realistic, you'd better have enough food and water stored to outlive the other zombies without having to forage or you will end up a snack for the cannibal gangs when it finally comes down.

May I suggest 1000 jars of peanut butter as a good start?

seems like lots of different ideas and philosophies but i think a common idea is to get a good location close to where you live and be ready to relocate if things dont go as you have planned IE have multiple BOL,s


out of a city,close to water and food sources,it should provide protection from anything which may threaten you.

I live in Bulgaria, it's now a 2nd world country but it use to be great. Everybody here owns an apartment where he works during the week, but also has a village house not so distant from the city ( usually around 60miles from the town) but is secluded in the same time. I didn;t mention I live near the see, u should deffinately check Bulgaria.
