Look i voted for the marijuana law here in Wa state,i know far more than you do about drugs,i was a dealer a very high end pot dealer,grower in my youth.

I know a ton about the cocaine trade as well so please do not call me an idiot i spent four years in a Federal pen and did alcohol and drug treatment three times due to court order and was on probation for a grand total eight years.

You cannot nor should they legalize every drug,meth,cocaine,heroin are just too dangerous.

The drug so called war is about money in the end,people make money at so many different area's of it it is incredible i bet what they think the drug trade is in billions they underestimate.

I broke my first kilo of cocaine over my knee at 17 in 1986.

as long as its a black market its price will be ataficialy high

and as long as their is any comoditiy that is priced artaficaly high some one will make a huge profit in selling it.
and the more illegal it is the more violence that will be assosiated with its distribution.

When i was locked up i spent a lot of time just talking understanding many there and i would say about half had mental problems not severe but they came from very messed up homes.

The petty criminal i never understood nor have i had contact with so for me it was an eye opener,some just laugh at the system and embrace the gang mentality but when you get them alone they say otherwise.

Look these people are salvageable you just gotta get them when they are young because by the time they hit 30 they do not give a shit.

This has nothing to do with communist etc it is a social problem,,not criminal social.

EVERYONE makes money off of drugs, illicit and legal. States receive money from the Federal government for "drug" enforcement and "education" programs. It buys military equipment for state and federal law enforcement organizations and task forces and keeps those cops employed with excellent pay and benefits. Same scam mimicked at the city and county level. Great pay, great benefits, great toys at the expense of taxpayers. Confiscated property, money, assets add to city, state, federal coffers and individual cop pockets.

The dealers make money off of the users, traffickers make money delivering the goods, cartels make money running the illicit side of the drug trade. The peons that actually make the stuff in those hidden labs in the jungle or in the dessert make none at all. We're not talking about small manufacturers here.

The banks, i.e. Bank of America just for starters, launder money for the cartel. They are not going to be denied this money also.

The MRAP makers, body armor makers, tacti-cool equipment makers make money by encouraging law enforcement to look like soldiers, believe they are soldiers and that America is Afghanistan and Iraq and we are the enemy. It is us vs. them - the cops and they are better armed and the dealers and the traffickers are better armed while our law makers work to dis-arm us.
