Drought, falling tourism threaten Morocco economy..Not anymore...The Power of Prayer...
RABAT, Morocco (AP) — Morocco's new Islamist government finally passed its 2012 budget last week — four months late — while outside parliament hundreds of unemployed protesters demanding government jobs clashed with police.

Long seen as a haven of stability and relative prosperity in North Africa, this close U.S. ally has a rough year ahead. Its budget is overstretched, its farm fields drought-stricken, its credit rating is wobbly, and economic crisis is hobbling its closest trading partners in Europe, even as protests by disgruntled Moroccans are on the rise.

Moroccan Drought Ends after Jews Pray for Rain

The Jewish Press reports Jews throughout Morocco this past Sabbath responded to a plea by King Mohammed VI and prayed for rain.

“In conformity with the high instructions of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, commander of the faithful, these prayers will be called for in all the synagogues to implore the Almighty to spread ample rain throughout the territory of the Kingdom,” the Council of the Jewish Community stated, adds The Jewish Press.

The Morocco World News reported, “Moroccan Jews performed prayers in all the synagogues in the country, imploring God to spread bountiful rain on the entire territory of the Kingdom.”

Two days after the reiteration of the Simchat Torah rain prayer on the Sabbath, there were abundant thunderstorms across the country.

The article makes it sound as if only our fellow Jewish citizens prayed. It is the entire country that invocated the Most Merciful both in Mosques and Synagogues...
May the God of Abraham bestow his bounty upon his servants. Ameen
