BREAKING: Active Shooter at Mall in Maryland, Reports of Victims Down [Live Coverage]

An active shooter has claimed multiple victims at Columbia Mall in Columbia, Maryland, in Howard County. Alertpage reporting shooter down, multiple victims, including fatalities and other injuries. CNN has reported that at least three people have been killed, according to Howard County Police. It is not confirmed if that includes the shooter.
Numerous store employees have posted on Twitter that they are in lock down and staying in their store rooms. Police are bringing out mallgoers in groups and potential victims are being evaluated by numerous EMS crews on the scene. Officials are operating out of a unified command post.

Emergency management is bringing in buses to keep potential witnesses warm. Howard County Fire Rescue is a progressive combination department. Howard County is a suburb of Baltimore, Maryland. A Medical Ambulance Bus from Anne Arundel County is on scene and departments throughout the area are assisting including backfilling Howard County stations. A Maryland State Police medevac chopper is also on the scene providing both law enforcement support and standbye for potential victim transport.
