Why do you love Jesus ?

What's sad is that you don't realize that it was you, and those around you, that did this - not some fictional being. Congrats on turning it around.

This is the why we love Jesus thread. Not the convince Christians to reject what fill them with love thread.

If you didn't come here to praise Jesus you shouldn't be here.

What is truly sad is that YOU are totally oblivious to His transforming love .
It is real my friend and I pray for you to KNOW Him and his LOVE that turns darkness into light .

About 30 years ago I was in Japan. I was 22 years old. I felt very separated from my family and friends. I was feeling very lonely in those days especially because I knew it would be at least 9 more months before I could return home to the USA. Feeling overwhelmed by my experience I fell to the floor and cried out, "Oh, Lord, I promise I'll be good, please take away this loneliness." As I cried with my eyes shut and my face buried in my arm I could see light. I saw myself through the eyes of Jesus and felt the emotions he felt as he watched this young man cry out in prayer. The incredible compassion Jesus felt for me compelled him to descend upon me. I was actually watching myself - from above - through Jesus' eyes.

My vision was amazing to me. I got up onto my knees as Jesus [His Holy Spirit] descended upon me. I could feel this awesome life form, this very real life presence penetrate my rib cage and enter into me. I could feel the Holy Spirit taking away my terrible loneliness and replacing it with Joy. A Real JOY that had escaped my for so long. Through the presence of God infilling me I understood that Jesus loved me, my sins were forgiven, and I was filled with the Presence that brings eternal life.

This out-of-body experience changed my life forever! I understand that some of you do not understand yet that Jesus is Lord but millions of us do know him as a true friend. We have experience his love and are able to share it with whoever will listen. I hope this testimony of Jesus is a blessing to you and I also hope and pray you enjoy your day!

Why do you love Jesus ?

because you were probably born in a predominantly christian country/home. you'd have the same love for allah had you been born in the middle east or you'd love buddah had you been born in thailand.

Trust me, I've been there. I was raised Lutheran, went to church every week, went to bible school, read the bible, went to bible camp - never bought into a lick of it. Trust me, it's all in your head. You are the one who needs to set yourself free.

Perhaps it was a church with a form of religion and no Holy Spirit dwelling within . Sadly, they do exist and fail many.
It could be your heart on the other hand .
He loves you so . I will ask Him to open the eyes of your heart .
Have you asked Him to come into your life or do you rely on a "church" ?

I don't want to debate anymore. I'm sick of debating on this site and everywhere about God. I want to talk about God, I want to praise God. I have just felt the presence of God and I feel love for him.

He is like a beautiful gem stone. A faithful friend, righteous and fair. Who can bless the Lord enough ?

I see disregard for organized religion here, which is error.


They (priests, ministers, etc.)spread the Word but they are only human, they are not the Word.

My experience of the love of Jesus occurred during the time when I was a lapsed Roman Catholic. Years of parochial school, Jesuit instruction, priests and nuns as family, did not give me faith in Jesus.

But, when I realized that I could not go on the way I was going and that it would be better if I were dead, my upbringing and the fellowship of the 12-step group I attended, and the fidelity of one friend (Jewish), one family member (R.C.), and one spouse (Moslem) somehow inspired me to go to Him and hold on to Him and never let go.
